Summary

Notes

If the information on her children is correct she would have been born after 1760 and before 1774. That is consistent with her recorded age (70) at the 1841 census (assuming James and Thoebe is really James and Phoebe!). Her name is recorded as Phebe Sheward in the christenings of her first two children (which were probably illegitimate) in Rock, Worcester. There seem to be no possible Shuard or Sheward births, but there are many Stewards in Kidderminster (the adjacent parish to Rock, where she was married, and was also in the 1841 census). So we tentatively conclude that she was a Phoebe/Phebe Steward, christened in Kidderminster in the period 1760 to 1774. One was christened 26/12/1767, but died 10/07/1770. That leaves only the christening 11/07/1766, with parents John and Hannah. Phoebe obviously named her first child after her mother.
